GMiS Scholarships

Graduating high school seniors, undergraduate students and graduate students are invited to apply for the 2021 GMiS STEM Scholarships, which are merit-based scholarships ranging from $500 – $5,000.  These scholarships are offered through the generous contributions from leading Fortune 500 companies, national government agencies, and private donors.  Applicants must demonstrate merit through academic achievement, leadership, service and campus/community engagement.Scholarship recipients will receive complimentary registration to attend the virtual 2021 GMiS Conference, from October 11-22, 2021.  At the Conference, awardees will be inducted into the GMiS Scholars Society and have the opportunity to network with their scholarship donor or sponsor, participate in exclusive GMiS Scholar events, competitions and participate in the two-day Graduate School and Career Fair.

ELIGIBILITY:

Hispanic descent and/or demonstrate significant leadership or service within the underserved community;

Graduating high school seniors, undergraduate students or graduate students;

Enrolling full-time in Fall 2021, in a science, technology, engineering, math or health-related field of study at an accredited 2-yr or 4-yr college/university in the U.S. or its territories; and

Possessing an overall minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale).

Scholarships for graduating high school seniors, undergraduates and graduate students, who have an interest in the energy, oil and gas industry, are U.S. citizens, and attending a 4-year university in the U.S. or Puerto Rico. Students must be pursuing a degree in chemical, civil, computer, electrical, mechanical, or petroleum engineering, computer science, information technology, or management information systems.  Applicants must also complete a Chevron Questionnaire during the application process.
