Here is a link to the first tutorial with instructions on how to download Virtual box and Kali so that you will be ready – it takes a long time to download these files. We will have the files on usb drives during the workshop.

4:00pm – 5:00pm: How to Install a VM and Kali Linux
5:00pm – 5:30pm: Break
5:30pm – 6:00pm: NASA Engineer Eddie Gonzalez presenting tips and tricks for GMiS
6:00pm – 6:30pm: Break
6:30pm – 7:30pm: Students working at their own pace on the tutorials provided by Dr. Kim on using some CyberTools in Linux. Dr Kim and other Instructors will be at the in-person and virtual labs to assist students:
– Deploy two Kali VMs in Oracle VirtualBox.
– Set up a network with the VMs so that two VMs can access each other.
– Some Linux commands.
– Brute force password cracking attack using Hydra between two VMs along with SSH.
– Set up public-key authentication to get over the attack.
7:30pm – 8:00pm: Debugging and Wrap-up
