Computer Science Pathways

between Merced College and Other Colleges and Universities

Transferable Classes

All of our classes for Computer science are tranferable and have been approved for c-id descriptors as described in the AS-T degree and decreed by Senate Bill 1440 - SB1440. For more info on the AS-T degrees and c-id descriptors please visit:

Articulated Classes

We have also articulated all of our classes to many Universities and Colleges, which leads to an easy transfer to a 4 year institution. Check out the articulation with the tool at their website

Creating Alliances

We currently our a part of the CAHSI INCLUDES Alliance and with this the S-STEM Scholarship Grant. To read more about the S-STEM grant look here. We are making new Alliances and creating more opportunities for our students, look below!

Merced College is currently working with UC Merced, Fresno State, Stanislaus State, and drone experts to create new pathways for undergrad research opportunities. Check it out.

Rising Data add

Recently Merced College participated in the Rising Data Training at Fresno State, which was funded by NASA. This training is assisting in the creation of the drone classes and drone cerificate at Merced College, and in creating this pathway. The first class happened in Spring 2018, with many students being successful.  Drone Technology I is being offered again this Fall 2018, and Drone Technology II will be available Spring 2019.

These are future pathways that are being created - the blue pathway is the only pathway currently being offered. The colored-in ovals are classes that are articulated, or are being articulated, to the local High Schools.
